Safety Informations on Oranges Silicagels

The main product use an additive, for abour 5%, that manufacturers call Iron Salts.
An other one use an additive called Phenolphthalein
An other one use, for 0,9%, an additive that is Gentian Violet (or Crystal Violet)

1. Additive called Iron Salts
This silicagel is called with different names on the market: SORBSIL C "Chameleon", Trockenperlen orange, etc.
The manufacturer, that patented the silicagel with Iron salt (used ammonium iron(III) sulfate dodecahydrate - CAS No.: 7783-83-7), may be in connection with the new European regulation REACH, decided to stop to produce this silicagel at end of March 2008. They sold the licence to a German Company named Oker Chemie GMBH.
The MSDS of Oker Chemie GMBH for this silicagel specify: "Toxicological studies on the product are not yet available. The data given here is based on current knowledge and experience. The purpose of this Safety Data Sheet is to describe the products in terms of their safety
requirements. The above details do not imply any guarantee concerning composition, properties or performance." MSDS for SORBSIL C "Chameleon" or orange TrockenperlenInstaller Foxit pdf Reader Installer pdf Acrobat Reader 28.95 Ko
